Wulfsberg
Reese Colvig & Firstman recognizes that litigation can
be particularly costly and time-consuming to clients. Accordingly,
our first priority in handling disputes is to explore the
feasibility of alternative dispute resolution. The Firm engages
in early claims analysis, making cost-effective use of outside
consultants to achieve settlements when doing so is in the
best interest of our clients. We are often successful in securing
settlements through negotiation, mediation, or early in the
discovery process, avoiding the expense of full-scale litigation.
When informal resolution is not possible, we will vigorously
prosecute an arbitration or trial through award or judgment.
In
all cases, we strive to keep our clients up-to-date on significant
developments and facts relevant to the analysis of the case,
providing frequent status reports and analyses of our clients'
position. If requested, we provide our clients with detailed
projections of litigation expenses at the commencement of
our representation. As the case progresses, we track actual
expenditures, comparing them against estimates, and periodically
adjust the estimates for our clients' reference. In this manner,
we actively assist our clients in making informed decisions
on the course to be followed, based on cost/benefit and risk
analyses as our engagement develops.
